Jahlicious Epok-Epok

This is the best epok-epok sardin I had ever tasted by far until otherwise proven wrong.

If you all know me by now eh, I ni hantu epok-epok sardin. So I just found this place at Golden Mile Food Complex that has the best epok-epok sardin that I had tasted by far, beb. Let’s check it out.

So masuk kedai, dapat jugak berbual ngan kakak rock.

Chef Bob: Kak, lu dah berapa lama meniaga epok-epok ni?

Kak Jah: Dua setengah tahun. Tapi dulu kat rumah lah. Sediri-sendiri buat, untuk kawan-kawan. Tapi epok-epok ni kira dah berpuluh tahun lah.

Chef Bob: Ni resepi siapa Kak?

Kak Jah: Campur resepi Mak dengan resepi saya jugak.

Chef Bob: Oh turun-temurun eh? So kirakan ni hari-hari ada ke tak?

Kak Jah: Yang selalu ada memang kentang ada lah. Sardin is alternate dengan telur-bawang. And then rendang is once in a while lah.

Had a taste of the rendang filling. Beb, sedapnyer!

Kak Jah: Sometimes customer message – I miss your rendang.

So I have my epok-epok already. Let’s go to the car and show you why I claim this is the best epok-epok sardin that I have ever tasted by far.

First things first, it is ninety-cents and the size is you know at my palm like this, Alhamdulillah lah. OK this is the opposite of epok-epok angin. It is packed to the brim with the inti, beb.

And, the sardin, Ya Allah, SubhanAllah. Tak hanyir, and the pedas is just nice. And it has that hint of daun limau inside the inti.

The kulit is super flaky, and greasy, beb, greasy! Epok-epok nak kena grease, ada grease. Kalau takde grease it is not epok-epok. So once in a while you indulge in the epok-epok sardin, SubhanAllah, it is super amazing.

MashaALLAH. So, beb, dia punya pedas ada kick, beb. (Pointing to sweatdrops on forehead.) You see? Berpeluh.

The ratio of sardin to bawang is around three is to one. And the bawang is well caramelised. It is translucent, beb, dia punya bawang. SubhanAllah. It is really, really amazing.

So if you know of any place that sells the best epok-epok sardin, please share with me.

Comment to me. Share this video. And, yup, support local. I will see you soon. Bismillah.
